Refurbishment of two Platform Waiting Rooms
While the Crossrail Project is creating significant new infrastructure through Central London and is providing some new station buildings along the surface sections to the east and west, many of the existing stations between Reading and Shenfield will not be materially improved by the Crossrail project, which will be known as the Elizabeth Line once operational.
Transport for London (TfL) has therefore developed its ‘On Network Stations Improvement Programme’, known as ONSIP, to remodel and upgrade many of the existing surface stations to provide an improved passenger experience and create a unified look and feel for the Elizabeth Line, along with removing clutter and redundant assets.
These improvements are delivered by the Train Operator MTR Crossrail on behalf of TfL. MTR Crossrail hold the current concession contract for the operation of the Elizabeth Line trains and stations.
Works Comprised of:
- Installation of new windows and DDA compliant entrance doors
- New electrical & CCTV installations
- New flooring & DDA matwell systems
